Homework is an important part of the learning process. It is used to extend learning and teach students good study habits which are needed for exam courses. Homework is given because:
In Years 7 to 9 homework may be set at the end of lessons. However, subject teachers will also give students a range of research tasks at the start of a new unit of work. Students will be given a period of time to complete this 'homework project' and will often be allowed to present it in a form of their choice. At Key Stage 4, students are often asked to complete coursework at home. We ask parents to monitor this as it is important that students keep up to date with this important element of exam courses. |
