Arts College Status
Walton-le-Dale Arts College & High School is a specialist Arts College. We have chosen this specialism because we believe that this enables students to develop as a whole person and prepare for their future lives. Our curriculum and ethos provides opportunities for students to develop not only care skills, but also skills, attitudes and qualities they will need for the rest of their lives.
Students also have access to a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Many of these activities are related to the  arts, including a Drama Club, a Dance Club, Art and Music after school, a choir and school productions.
Other extra curricular activities are related to ICT and Technology, for example, as well as sport. Gymnastics is particularly strong and we are regularly present at the national finals. Many curricular trips are also offered.
